How to get Richer by the end of the Year
There are many ways in which you can get richer by the end of the year. We usually tell ourselves that we will save money and never really get round to it. However, here are a few easy and small steps you can take to help you achieve your goal.
Stick to your budget
This doesn’t mean you scrimp and save. It means you calculate how much you earn and how much you spend and decide how much you can afford to save every month. Making a realistic budget for yourself and include some money for those small treats that will make budgeting worth it.
Ask for a Raise
This can be the most difficult thing you do. It’s definitely not easy to walk up to your boss and ask for a raise. So, before you do, build your case. Find out how much you are worth in the job market. You can find out using apps like Glassdoor’s Know Your Worth. Just because you now know your worth in the market doesn’t mean you have a strong case. You need to list down your achievements – why you deserve that raise. And if you feel your boss may not accede to your request, have another job in hand before you go in to talk to your boss. That way, if you feel unfairly treated, you can move to a better place.
Get Richer by Earning Money on the side
There are tons of options available for you to make money on the side. If you’re short on time, you can do the simplest thing – do online surveys. If sounds tedious, but it can really give you a little bit of extra cash for you to stash away. Some of the best online survey sites are Inbox Dollars and Swagbucks.
Make money doing what you love
If you have a hobby that you love, think about how you can turn it into a money-maker for you. For example if you love writing, you can look at becoming a freelance writer on Upwork. Or if you love animals, you can look at joining places like Rover, where you get paid for walking dogs. Think about what you love doing and then do some research. There will almost always be a way in which you can turn what you love into a source of income that will help you get richer.
Sell your stuff
We all have stuff that we don’t use but is just sitting there gathering dust. You can sell your stuff on different websites and get richer. For example, you can sell your CDs, video games, DVDs and electronic devices on Decluttr.
Micro-investing
Today, investing doesn’t mean big money. You can invest small – even tiny – amounts of money through micro-investing apps like Clink. Thanks to technology and the internet, there are so many different ways in which you can earn a little (and sometimes a lot) extra cash that will help you get richer.
